Christmas Table Runner – at long last!

Holiday Table Runner

Holiday Treats Table Runner - 27"x67", pattern by Laura Nownes & Dianna McClun

I picked up this Holiday Treats Table Runner pattern by Laura Nownes & Diana McClun in June of 2007 at a guild meeting.  I immediately went home and pieced a modified version of the top with fabrics leftover from other Christmas projects, thinking that I would be way ahead of the game come Christmas.   However, life then got in the way and prevented me from doing any sewing until after the holidays.  For the last two years, around Thanksgiving, I’ve thought about finishing the table runner.  After all, I just needed to quilt it, right?  Right.  It took trapping myself in a room with a bunch of other crafters last Saturday and not leaving until it was nearly done, but I’ve finally finished it!  I’m preferring to think of this as being done 2 weeks before Christmas, not as being 3 years late…

I agree! You finished 2 weeks before Christmas! Beautiful job. I have lots of those unfinished projects too…enjoyed meeting you and enjoying pizza with Rithi and Steve. Have a blessed Christmas and holiday season.
