I just finished knitting the first sock in Green Planet Yarn’s “Socks for All” sock club. The sock club is using the book Sock Knitting Master Class by Ann Budd and will feature a different pattern and yarn every other month. The book looks like it will be really good to knit out of and includes several different techniques for knitting socks as well as a helpful DVD of techniques. The first sock in the club is the lacey “Almondine” sock designed by Anne Hanson and knitted from the top down. Our club knitted this sock in Cascade Yarns Heritage Silk yarn (85% Merino Superwash/15% Mulberry Silk) and the color I chose was #5626 Teal. This was a really easy sock to knit and the design is lovey. I can tell it will be one of my favorites! As usual, I knitted the bottom in a “princess sole” for more comfort on the bottom of my foot.
