This Sunbonnet Sue quilt was appliquéd by a co-worker's mother.  Sadly, she passed away before she was able to finish it.  I embroidered the Sunbonnet Sues and pieced the squares into two quilts.  You may notice that Sue doesn't have any hands.  We don't know if this was intentional or if this was a mistake, but we decided to leave it as it was.  Perhaps Sue just has her hands in her pockets.  My co-worker had these quilts professionally quilted and kept one for himself and gave the other to his sister.  I hope someone is kind enough to finish my leftover projects some day!
