| This is a "whole cloth" wall-hanging that I finished in April 2005. It's a piece of muslin that I colored a design (from an appliqué pattern which I've lost) on with crayons and then quilted, following a technique I saw on TV. The "fabric" is given a textured look by placing rubber stamps and other objects under a previously colored piece and making a rubbing over it with a darker color. It was really fun to do and it was the first official project I made in my new sewing room. |
