Origami Flowers
32.5" x 23.5"

I started this fabric origami quilt at a trip to Asilomar in April 2006 and finished it within a couple weeks of returning home.  No new UFO for once!  The pattern comes from Fantastic Fabric Folding: Innovative Quilting Projects by Rebecca Wat.  The flowers are made from two sets of fat quarters.  One set was Fairy Frost which has a shimmer effect and the other was a set of bright fabrics with sparkles.  I sewed a pearl bead in the center of each flower to finish it off.  The sparkles and shine don't really show up well in the photo of the whole quilt.  However, if you click here for close-up of the origami flower to enlarge it, you'll see some of the sparkle and shimmer of the fabrics.
